The President, Patsy Dwyer and her team of Vincentians are busy in preparation for the 100 years celebrations to be held 14 September 2013 in Howick, Auckland

Our Lady Star of the Sea Conference was founded 7 September 1913 and at some stage went in to a period of abeyance for several years until it was reestablished again 29 June 1972.

The record of faithfulness to the St Vincent de Paul vision is inspiring and for 100 years the members of Our Lady Star of the Sea have provided a hand-up to people who have very few options in life, treating them with respect and dignity.

We also remember at this time, all those who have gone before us, people who have given of their time so generously to help those in need – an unbroken line of Vincentians responding to the Gospel is a very practical and direct way, determined to get out there and make a difference.
